Episode 4 -
Bette and her Hollywood magnet are continuing to pull them in. This week, Marlee Matlin. TV’s first deaf lesbian. I don’t like her interpreter. I know that dude has been with her for years, but the fact that a man’s voice speaking for her urks me. I’d rather hear Marlee’s voice, or another woman. Nadia is going a bit crazy, but Bette was harsh the way she ended the relationship. She is going to find […]
While perusing Myspace for new artists (ex-boyfriends) I came across another UK singer, miss Kate Nash. In all honesty I found her on Martha Plimpton’s (yes, that Martha Plimpton) page and immediately loved the song. And if you can’t find cool music on cool people’s myspace pages then what the hell good is Myspace anyway? (Ex-boyfriend stalking…)
Kate Nash seems to be taking the same route Lily Allen took with Myspace (and even has Lily in her top 12) so let’s hope […]

- REMOVE BOOK JACKET.
When complaining to a friend, who had also read the book, about the lecherous stares I was getting from people while reading he simply said, “Did you take the jacket off? Everybody knows you gotta take the jacket off first!” And you should, because the jacket alone contains the words/phrases: “Porn star,” “Adult entertainment,” “rated x,” “Jenna Jameson.” It also has two very sexy pictures on both the front and back. She is clothed, but you […]

Behold the Green Sandwich! One delicious bundle will cost you a buck. That’s right, only one dollar for a heaping helping of salty, slightly bitter greens sautéed in sesame oil and stuffed between a soft sesame bun. The sweetness of the bun offsets the horseradish-like sharpness of the filling, and the texture combination of doughy bread and fresh, crunchy vegetables is divine. I have never tasted anything like it.
I can’t confirm the exact type of greens used […]

Get tickets for Lily Allen here. I’ll be there (on the 10th/Webster Hall), will you?
No, thank you.
ComedyNet.com is looking for video shorts and scripts! So what, right? WHO ISN’T, right? Well, unlike most websites desperate for comedy content, ComedyNet.com is actually offering a pretty fair deal. Either you retain the rights to your work, or they pay you for it. They also provide a good deal of exposure and a better chance of standing out than the now-oversaturated YouTube. Downside: they don’t want videos of cats […]

Episode 3 -
Bette is easing back into dating, and Nadia is happy as she can be. Work for Bette has become hella complicated not only because Nadia is throwing herself at Bette, but because Phyllis is using her as her personal diplomat to the Lesbian lifestyle. Bette better start drawing some boundaries before she is caught in chaos.
Tina doesn’t seem so happy with her new life. That dinner party was a snooze. Her new friends are […]

There’s a continuous “one-item-only” restaurant trend in NYC. The “one item” changes every few years and is proof that the powers above are watching over the hungover and the premenstrual. We’ve got hot dog joints, cupcake stores and burger places, (sometimes both.) For the past couple of years Philly cheese steak was the rage. Lately, with the December opening of SuperMac on 7th Avenue and 29th St., it’s mac and cheese.
It’s the […]

Ok, so honestly: updating the blog of the week slips my mind. A lot. So from here on out we’re changing it to a Blog Of The Month. So, you can call Kate Spencer Miss January.

Kate clearly spends a lot of time online. She updates her own blog furiously, filling it with new reasons to love and hate her favorite/most-hated celebrities multiple times a day (and night). She shares a new Oprah- and Rosie-obsessed blog […]
